Torture complicity in Afganistan, massive police-state security in Vancouver, police in-custody violence, police cover-ups, government bureaucrats hiding their imcompetence behind Freedom of Information Act, the (family) laws and process which remove human rights of separated and divorced fathers? Canada is on a slippery slope by failing to ensure that all our laws and processes are diligent to human rights, compliant with our own Charter.

Good post. I agree. I'm very angry that O'Connor and Hillier might have cooked up a "catch and release" detainee system over there, for what reason I do not know but there is certainly money involved. O'Connor said so on TV to Jane Taber. He said it was a "revolving door" and common that detainees handed over by Canadians get bailed out by their tribes. Harper knows. Harper tipped his hand coming to O'Connor's defense the other day. What's that about?
Turns out now the G&M is talking about not only O'Connor misleading the House, but Kenney too! Looks like they have some proof. Might even have some info Verner should have had as well, time will tell, and Hansard.
Harper's left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, apparently.
